چکیده

We describe effects of anisotropy caused by the crystal lattice in d-wave superconductors with s-wave mixing using the effective free energy approach. Only the d-wave order parameter field d is introduced, while the effect of the s wave mixing as well as other effects breaking the rotational symmetry down to the fourfold symmetry of the crystal are represented by a single four (covariant) derivative term: ηd(Πy −Πx)d. The single vortex solution in a phenomenologically interesting range of parameters is almost identical to the two order parameters approach. We analytically consider the most general oblique lattice and orientation, but find that only rectangular body centered lattices are realized. A critical value ηc at which a phase transition from the rectangular lattice to the square lattice takes place. The influence on the phase transition line is discussed. The formalism is extended to the time dependent [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected]

اتصال جوزفسون بین ابررساناهای دمای بالا با ضریب عبور اختیاری

In this paper, a dc Josephson junction between two singlet superconductors (d-wave and s-wave) with arbitrary reflection coefficient has been investigated theoretically. For the case of high Tc superconductors, the c-axes are parallel to an interface with finite transparency and their ab-planes have a mis-orientation. The physics of potential barrier will be demonstrated by a transparency coeff...

نظریه میدان میانگین برای ابررسانایی مسی دمای بالا

Two decades ago the epoch making discovery of high Tc cuprate superconductivity by Bednorz and Müller shocked the world’s superconductivity community. However, already in 1979 and 1980, the first heavy fermion superconductor CeCu2Si2 and organic superconductor (TMTSF)2PF6 have been discovered respectively. Also we know now that all these superconductors are unconventional and nodal. Further t...

Competing effects of mass anisotropy and spin Zeeman coupling on the upper critical field of a mixed d- and s-wave superconductor

Based on the linearized Eilenberger equations, the upper critical field (Hc2) of mixed dand s-wave superconductors has been microscopically studied with an emphasis on the competing effects of mass anisotropy and spin Zeeman coupling. We find the mass anisotropy always enhance Hc2 while the Zeeman interaction suppresses Hc2. As required by the thermodynamics, we find Hc2 is saturated at zero te...

Relaxation and Thermal Conductivity of Hot and Thermal Quasiparticles and Fermi Liquid Interactions in d-wave Superconductors

In this paper, we calculate theoretically the relaxation rates of hot, thermal and antinodal quasiparticles by using Fermi’s golden rule. The transition probabilities at low temperatures express in terms of Bogoliubov coefficients, singlet and triplet scattering amplitudes and dimensionless Landau parameters. The values of Landau parameters may be determined by comparison with the experimental ...

Estimation of Sloshing Wave Height in Broad Cylindrical Oil Storage Tanks Using Numerical Methods

Cylindrical steel tanks are important components of many industrial plants such as oil refineries and chemical plants. Usually failure of cylindrical tanks leads to serious consequences. During the past earthquakes such as 1964 Alaska and 1999 Turkey seismic performance of cylindrical tanks revealed that tanks are seismically vulnerable. Therefore, evaluation of seismic performance of these str...
